About Frank Williams
Frank Williams is a small business owner who grew up in the rural Brunswick County community of Northwest, located ten minutes west of Leland and twenty minutes west of Wilmington.
Frank graduated from North Brunswick High School in 1988. He then enrolled at North Carolina State University, where he earned a degree in Communication in 1993.
Frank currently serves as Chairman of the N.C. 7th Congressional District Republican Party and has held a variety of leadership roles within the Republican Party. He believes the Republican Party must stand strong for common-sense conservative principles. One of his favorite quotes from President Ronald Reagan is, “Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?”
Frank has served on the N.C. Republican Party Central and Executive Committees, the NCGOP Platform and Rules Committees, his Congressional District Executive Committee and was elected as an alternate delegate to the 2000 Republican National Convention in Philadelphia. Frank has also served as a precinct chair, Republican Men’s club president, two-term Young Republican club chairman, State Chairman of the Young Republicans and as a national officer with the Young Republicans.
Additionally, Frank has held leadership roles with a number of campaigns, including serving as Central N.C. Field Director for Dole-Kemp ‘96, Political Director for Fred Smith’s 2002 State Senate campaign and as Campaign Manager for Les Merritt’s campaigns for State Auditor in 2004 and 2008.
Professionally, Frank is president of Pioneer Strategies, a public relations agency he founded in August 2001.
Frank is a member of Northside Baptist Church in Wilmington. He serves on North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce board of directors, is a charter member and president-elect of the Leland Area Rotary Club and serves on the board of directors of Communities in Schools of Brunswick County.
Web Site Trivia: all four of the photos on the site’s masthead are ones I took myself. The U.S. Capitol Dome and U.S. Supreme Court building photos were taken during a trip to Washington in December 2008. The beach photo was taken during sunrise at Cherry Grove Beach, S.C. in September 2008. Finally, the shot of the field and woods was taken in April 2009 on the family farm where I grew up. – Frank W.
